Hyundai motors launched the production of their KONA EV in July 2019. The Hyundai KONA is a front engine all electric sub compact SUV which is available only in few selected cities. The company is trying to sell only 1000 units of cars in a month. With a 39 Kwh & 150 Kwh Lithium ion battery pack, it can go up to 452 Kilometers on a single charge. How much power do I get with a battery power you may ask? well 0-100 km/h in 9.7’s if you need to pelt it. It is the highest rated all electric car available in the Indian market now. The Hyundai KONA can be your for Rs. 23 lakh to 25 lakh. The KONA comes with fast charging option which will charge 0-80% of the battery in under an hours time.

Mahindra E-Verito
Mahindra launched the second generation E-Verito. The most popular car in India the Mahindra E-Verito has gone electric since 2017. In 2 years it received battery and performance upgrades, to show up with more powerful electric motor and an increased driving range. With a 50 Kwh lithium ion battery pack, it achieves 150 Kilometers of range on a single charge. The company has been producing the E-Verito since 2017 and you can purchase now for Rs. 12-13 Lakh. Morris Garage EZS
Morris Garage is no stranger in the list of upcoming electric car in India with EZS. MG will be launching the EZS all electric SUV in December 2019. MG EZS will be priced between 25- 30 Lakh giving a head on competition to Hyundai KONA. MG EZS will be providing an I Smart connecting technology with a remote engine start, remote AC controls and Geo fencing features. MG claims a 350 Kilometers range in a single charge with AC & DC charging options. AC charging will take 6 and a half hours and 1/2 hour charge time with DC fast charge with 80% battery charge.

Nissan Leaf
Nissan claims the Leaf will do 400 Kilometers long range with a 40 Kwh lithium ion battery when fully charged. Nissan Leaf will be a direct import with a price tag close to 30 lakh. The Leaf will be equipped with E paddle which is a special drive mode for acceleration and braking auto regeneration whit the same paddle. Nissan claims the Leaf will be the most anticipated upcoming electric cars in 2020 as a game changer.

Mahindra eKUV 100 EV
Auto Manufacturer giant Mahindra is no stranger when it comes to Electric cars. After providing cars like Reva , E2O, E-Verito and E-Supro, Mahindra is all set to launch the Mahindra eKUV EV in 2019 and XUV 300 EV in 2020. eKUV-100 showcased at the Auto expo in 2018 had a claimed range around 140 Auto Manufacturer giant Mahindra is no stranger when it comes to Electric cars. TATA Altros EV
TATA is ready to make some noise in the all-electric premium hatchback range by introducing the Altros. The all new electric version Altros is expected to launch in mid-2020. TATA Altros EV claimed range will be around 200-300 Kilometers with a 0- 80% charge time of 1 hour using fast charging.

TATA Tiago EV & Tigore EV
In the list of upcoming electric car in 2019, Tata claims Tigor has a claimed range of 140 Kilometers and can charge its 30 KWH motor to 80% in ½ half an hour with a fast charge. The Tigor is currently available in few cities through rental car services. TATA claims we can expect Tiago or Tigor to private car buyers as well. Tiago to be priced around Rs. 8-9 Lakh and Tigor with Rs. 10-12 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki Electric Wagon R
The list gets even better with Maruti Suzuki introducing the all-electric car with the E Wagon R. Maruti Suzuki claims the launch to be expected in 2020 as they are undergoing a 50 prototypes testing across India in order to develop an EV specifically for Indian roads & Market.
